Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Irritable Bowel Syndrome, or IBS is a disorder causing cramps, gassiness, and bloating.

No organic cause for IBS has been found, so it is commonly thought to be caused by stress or emotional conflict. Though stress may make the symptoms of IBS worse, other factors also play a part.

The most common symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome include crampy abdominal pain, constipation or diarrhea, and mucus in the stool.
